How to Celebrate Your Happily Ever After at Disney

It's the Most Magical Place on Earth, the Land Where Dreams Come True, and the beginning of so many Happily Ever Afters. Disney World seems like a cliche to some and a perfect fairy tale ending to others, it's all a matter of you and your fiance's (or future fiance's) opinion. But even if you think it's silly, enough people disagree with you that they even started an entire department to help you plan your perfect engagement, wedding, or honeymoon! Plus, Disney is one of the most LGBT-friendly locations in the country having performed thousands of same-sex weddings and engagements before it was even made legal in the States.

Here is your breakdown of all things Disney:

ENGAGEMENT:

About 4,000 couples get engaged at Disney World in Orlando, Florida alone every year. One former Disney photographer said that while working at Disney World she witnessed at least three and sometimes up to twenty proposals PER DAY! The iconic castle in Magic Kingdom is (obviously) the most popular location to get engaged, but there are so many more romantic locations in the four parks. Check out this list that Erin Foster from TouringPlans.com put together with 101 Ways to Propose at Walt Disney World. You could go it alone or you can contact the Disney Engagement Department to help make the proposal as magical as possible.

WEDDINGS:

In Disney World about 1,500 couples get married every year. In order to legally wed you must obtain a special Disney World Marriage License that you can get from any courthouse in Florida. The license costs $93.50 unless you are both residents of Florida. If you and your fiance live in Florida and want to have a Disney Wedding you can get a regular marriage license for only $61. Disney World's Wedding Department makes your "I Do's" as easy as possible to plan your wedding from anywhere in the world. Your personal Disney Wedding Planner will hear your ultimate dream and create it for you from their extensive list of preferred vendors, all you and your guests have to do is show up with your dress or tux! It's gonna cost you though. The minimum cost of a Disney Wedding is $25,000, and grows with your desires! But it's certain to be a day you'll never forget!

HONEYMOON:

Even celebrities like John Stamos honeymoon at Disney World! Mr. and Mrs. Stamos are just one of over 1.000.000 couples who honeymoon at Disney every year! Disney has so, so many options for vacations and honeymoons, it could actually take some time to figure out which one is best for you. But I do suggest that you make it clear that you're there for your honeymoon cause they will bend over backwards for you! (Line skipping, yay!) Disney even offers payment plans to help make the investment as painless as possible for you!
