The Royal Wedding: What do the Wedding Planners Know?

Let's talk about something that everyone seems to be talking about this week: The Royal Wedding!
I haven't been this exited for a wedding since my own; and I've never been as excited for the union of two strangers I've never met at a wedding I won't attend!

Reportedly this wedding is costing upwards of £33.5 MILLION! Roughly estimated, that's almost $45 Million USD! That's a lot of wedding cake! And with no official duties on the books for the Prince or his famous bride between now and the big day, I'm sure they're spending their last week as an engaged couple doing what most every couple does. Practice the first dance, learn how to walk in the wedding shoes, getting her nails done, and finalizing the royal honeymoon itinerary!

The future Mrs. Harry Windsor has reportedly purchased two wedding gowns for the day, a new trend that many woman have been doing for years: a showstopper for the ceremony and a more comfortable reception gown, But most brides would only opt for one if your first dress alone costs you about $135,000! We don't know yet any details about the dress except that it will be hand stitched and hand beaded by Ralph and Russo - the Australian designer power couple who also designed that gorgeous dress Meghan wore for her engagement photos! We have no details at all about the second dress, but with Meghan's loyalty thus far, we can assume it's another one-of-a-kind gown designed and created for just this occasion!

Unlike William and Kate or their grandmother Queen Elizabeth herself before them, Harry and Meghan will not be getting married inside Westminster Abbey, but instead opted for Saint George's Chapel- the worship place inside Windsor Castle. While the inside is beautiful (it's a castle, I mean, c'mon!) that also means that they simply cannot have as may guests as William and Kate did. The chapel only seats up to 800 people, which at full capacity is half the size of the last royal wedding which hosted a shocking 1,900 guests! While only 800 guests can watch the actual "I dos" live and in person, it's assumed that almost 3,000 people will be waiting in the courtyard to greet the brand new royal newlyweds after the nuptials, with about 3 BILLION people watching from home!

One last fun note: It's estimated that there will be around 8,000 parties throughout the streets of England on the big day resulting in around 1 million handfuls of confetti tossed in the air in celebration! With that much confetti, the streets will look like they're still celebrating for weeks after!
