Lafayette Adventures

Without a doubt, one of the best part of our job is the places we go and the things we see! Yesterday, we took a road trip to the home of Purdue University- Lafayette, Indiana!

We visited a stunning hotel in Downtown Lafayette and met two of the lovely ladies in charge of events and catering. They showed us around their gorgeous space as we discussed the events they have and will host (our favorite topic!). We are excited to say that they have signed up to host at least two of our #Wedding Bridal Shows in their facility! (Keep a look out for show details!)

The Grand Staircase is the center of attention in the Holiday Inn lobby. It's beauty is not the only amazing thing about it though- it's actually historic!

After leaving the hotel, we were captivated by the city of Lafayette. We passed by an adorable looking flower shop called Roth Florist, and based on the exterior alone, we knew we had to see inside. We were not disappointed! It was covered in flowers, and the decorations were so beautiful, we couldn't help but take pictures so everyone could see!

We weren't able to explore Lafayette very long, but we decided to try a local restaurant for lunch. I texted a friend who had attended Purdue University for suggestions, and she did not disappoint! Out of the three suggestions she gave, we decided to try out DK Kirby's on Main Street, enticed by the website's promise of delicious burgers. Once again, we were not disappointed.

The Grilled Cheese/Cheese Burger
with a side of fried pickles.
A bowl of delicious mac and cheese
to share!
The "Mac and Nap" with a side of
fries.

"The Truck Stop" with a side of
Onion Rings.
Immediately, the atmosphere made us realize we had made the right choice for lunch. Exposed brick walls with wooden tables greeted us, and the port-a-potty looking bathrooms made us all laugh out loud! But when the food came, the aesthetics was the last thing on any of our minds. We all decided to order different things and split them up. The large menu made it difficult to decide, but when we ordered and received our food, it was like we had died and gone to burger heaven.

After feasting on those amazing burgers, we set off back to our own town of Fort Wayne. The ride home was also beautiful we stared out the window more than anything else.

Yes, without a doubt, this is the best part of our job.
