This is a weird, stressful time to be a bride or groom right now. Events are being canceled, meetings are being postponed, and all of the hard work you've put into your wedding? Who even knows what's going on with that! Everyone completely understands that you might need a day or two to wrap your head around everything that's going on, so take them. Spend a full 48 hours collecting your thoughts and calming yourself down. Then, once you're ready, ignore the things that are out of your control, and focus on what is in your control. Take this extra time you find yourself with, and go the extra miles you didn't have time for last week. here are a few suggestions on ways to use the Coronavirus quarentine to your advantage:

1. Contact your vendors and set up video or phone conferences with them. Go over everything and make sure you're all on the same page.

Maybe put it towards more decorations, or a few more bottles of wine. Maybe you spent too much money on your dress- where is that extra money coming from? Maybe you only get a 2 tiered cake instead of 3. Now is your chance to play around with what you have left!

3. Unlock your inner DIY and start making your own decorations! Cut stamps out of potatoes, create flowers out of old book pages, make lanterns out of picture frames, put together personalized favors, design your own invitations, or anything else. Open up your dream wedding Pinterest board and go nuts!

4. Create a timeline for how you would like your wedding day to run. Go so far as to plan the week of the wedding. When are the men picking up their suits? When will the make-up artist arrive? What's the latest you can sleep in? When are you having lunch? Create multiple scenarios if  you'd like!

5. Set up a website for your wedding! Maybe you don't know the details, but you can certainly put together a site with your engagement pictures, a bio about the two of you and your love story, and information about your gift registry.

6. Speaking of, put together an online registry! Many online stores offer online wedding registries, sign up for as many as you want! If you already live on your own, look up various charities and ask your guests to donate to your favorites!

7. Practice a few hair and makeup tutorials. This isn't just fun, but it can also help you get an idea of the look you want to go for on your big day.

8. Start a journal and write about your experiences with planning your wedding up to this point. You can look back on it years from now and actually remember the planning process!

10. Create a photography checklist. This is a very important tool the day of your wedding. Send a copy to your photographer, and let every person on that list know that you would like them to stay after the ceremony for photos. You will never regret doing so!

There are so many ways to use this time to your advantage. Soon, life will continue and you'll wish you had this much time to make your wedding perfect, so take the time now and put a positive spin on what is otherwise, a stressful situation. Happy Planning!
